Kira
3 years Brown with black Boxer Looking into this beauty’s soulful eyes, it is hard to imagine that anyone would want to hurt her. Until a month ago, however, Kira’s previous owner was literally starving her. Thank goodness he decided to surrender her to a shelter so that she would have a chance at the kind of life she so deserves. Now, we get to walk with this 3-year-old as she continues her journey to recovery. In spite of what she endured the first three years of her life, Kira is the sweetest, kindest, gentlest bundle of love and kisses you’ll ever meet. She will steal her way onto your lap or, at the very least, lay her head on your chest to say thank you for rescuing me. In the last month, Kira has gained 12 pounds and now weighs 40 pounds. She still has more weight to gain but will hopefully soon be doing that in her forever home. Kira is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated against rabies. She will receive the rest of her vaccines at our vet’s instruction. In the meantime, come on over because this lovely lady isn’t planning on hanging out with us for long!

Walter
7 years Black and white Terrier Walter is everybody's favorite dog. His big brown eyes shine with a special light of love that was undimmed by a lengthy shelter stay. He won the hearts of some former adopters who rescued him from the euthanasia list. He's about seven years old and weighs 15 pounds. He's got great energy, likes other dogs, and wants only to be your forever friend. Walter is microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered. More importantly, he can’t wait to meet you!

Chevy
1 year old White and black Dachshund/Beagle mix Chevy epitomizes the meaning of ‘household name’, especially in the music world. Remember Don McLean’s “So bye-bye Miss American Pie, Drove my Chevy to the levee, but the levee was dry...”? Well, our handsome Chevy hopes to become a household name very soon; and with his classic white and black coat, this 22-pound youngster won’t have to wait long. Having experienced more horror in his short life than any pup should, Chevy is now safe with us and loving every minute of our love and attention. He is neutered and microchipped and will receive the rest of his vaccines in a month as part of his adoption. So, what are you waiting for? Come and drive your Chevy home!

Abby
4 years Black and brown Terrific Terrier This gorgeous girl is as intelligent and sweet as any Terrier can be. Four-year-old Abby knows several basic commands, enjoys long walks, and is perfectly potty trained. All this girl needs is an adult female only home where she can heal from having been abused by men, men who thought hitting her on the head was an appropriate way to play with her. As a result, she is a bit head shy and becomes anxious when meeting new people. With patience, love, and understanding, though, she will heal, and you will get to experience the wonderfulness that is Abby. Despite her past hardships, this young lady is kind, loving, and longing for human companionship. While she likes socializing with other dogs, she definitely doesn’t want a canine housemate. She is also picky about the female dogs she wants in her circle of friends. We’ve noticed she does better with dogs smaller than she is. Abby weighs approximately 24 lbs and is spayed, microchipped, and current on her vaccines. So, if your heart is big enough and your spirit gentle enough, Abby would like to meet you ASAP!

Chaplin
6 years Tan Spaniel mix. Meet Chaplin, our newest star! Having recently returned to Perfect Pet Rescue, this handsome 6-year-old is settling into a leading roll. With his silky coat, loving eyes, and winning personality, this dapper fellow is definitely a star! At 14 pounds, Chaplin will be happy snuggling, walking, hiking, or just hanging out as long you are by his side. He’s an affectionate pup whose first two acts of his life were less than ideal. He was surrendered to the shelter when he was just a pup, infested with ticks and needing some TLC. Five years later, his adoptive family abandoned him. Now he is ready to begin his third and final act with you! Chaplin is neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccines. So, don’t delay! The curtain is about to go up!
