Trooper

4-5 years Black with white Schnauzer mix If ever a dog deserved the name Trooper, it is this handsome boy. Turned in by his owner to the shelter, he languished there for two weeks because his microchip was registered to someone else. While there, the shelter vet discovered Trooper had an irreparably broken femur in his left front leg. Because the he was in terrible pain, the vet made the unprecedented decision to send Trooper to a private vet where they amputated his leg. Well, Trooper was up and about and back to his happy self the very next day. How happy we were when we were told we could finally rescue him! He is a fun-loving fellow who loves to cuddle. He also loves to go on walks and has quickly adapted to missing a leg. One thing, though, that will help with his mobility is losing a few pounds. At 30 pounds, he is overweight, which makes moving around on three legs a bit more challenging than it normally is. Trooper is neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccines. So, who’s ready to help this special boy get back into shape.....and receive unending love in return?
