Beacon
1 year Tri-color Brussels Griffon mix A beacon has many functions, one of which is to herald a celebration. What better way to celebrate yourself than by bringing home an adorable pup! Beacon is one of the cutest and sweetest dogs we’ve ever met, and he’s ready to shower you with love and fill your life with joy. One look at that face, and you’ll be hard-pressed to leave without this little treasure tucked away in your arms. A happy fellow, Beacon is recovering from his tail having been mysteriously and partially amputated while he was on the streets. This doesn’t stop him, however, from wagging that tail in celebration of meeting new people. At 10 pounds, Beacon can accompany you anywhere. Whether on a leash or in your arms will not matter to him as long as he’s with you. Beacon is microchipped and current on all vaccines. He will be neutered within the next few days. So do yourself a favor. Give yourself a present in celebration of you and bring Beacon home!

Reed
3 years Black with a white chest blaze Cockapoo It is always so very frustrating when people decide they no longer want to be bothered with caring for their furry family members. It is maddening when they then blame the poor pup for their own heartlessness. This is exactly what happened to Reed. On May 30, he was dumped at a shelter because HE “hated everyone.” He was labeled aggressive and spent the next little while languishing in a kennel, unsure of his fate. The shelter staff and volunteers, however, began to notice that he actually didn’t hate anyone. In fact, he craved affection and gave lots in return. What he was, though, was confused and anxious in an environment that is stressful at best. So, the staff and volunteers began working with him and showing him the love and respect he deserved. Now, he is with Perfect Pet Rescue, waiting for his true forever family. Reed has a painfully enlarged left eye out of which he has no vision. With a large cataract, a detached retina, and glaucoma, the eye, according to our ophthalmologist, cannot be saved and so will be removed this coming Tuesday. Reed is microchipped and current on all vaccines. He will be neutered a week or two after his eye surgery. In the meantime, he’s ready and willing to begin his new life!

Sophie
7 years White Maltese/Terrier mix Thrown away without a second thought.... That’s what happened to sweet Sophie just a few days ago. After living her entire life with a woman, she was dumped in the shelter because she was uncomfortable around the woman’s 7-month-old twin grandchildren. Can you really blame her, though, for having difficulty dealing with two newly-crawling babies who were allowed to invade her space at will without adequate supervision? We certainly don’t and so are very happy to welcome Sophie to Perfect Pet Rescue. At 16 pounds, she is now spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccines. A loving little soul, Sophie would prefer living in a home where tail pulling, eye poking, and ear grabbing are not permitted. Basically, she yearns for a peaceful life with people who will love and respect her; and, in return, she will be your devoted companion forevermore.

Juno
1 year White and tan Maltipoo One definition of the name ‘Juno’ refers to the most beautiful woman on earth, someone who’s smile will brighten anyone’s day. Well, our Juno, may still be a young girl, but she is definitely one of the most beautiful pups we have ever had; and, you guessed it..., she has a smile that speaks her love for everyone she meets. Just a year old, Juno has lived a pretty rough life up to now. Sometime ago...we don’t know when...she ended up with a broken left femur that was never properly treated. Although it did not seem to cause her any pain and certainly did not slow her down, she could not use the leg and so had surgery to repair the break. Neither does the injury dampen her spirits. Juno is happy and engaging and wants to be everyone’s friend. At 16 pounds, she is spayed, microchipped and current on all vaccines. So, if you are looking for a beautiful, loving, and happy best friend, Juno is waiting for you!

Gabby
5 years White and tan Shih Tzu If you have ever wondered what ‘resilience’ looks like, look no further. Our little Gabby epitomizes the amazing resilience we see over and over again in our rescue pups. Before we picked her up from the shelter, we were informed she had two masses on her abdomen. What we saw when we finally met this lively little girl was one large open mass and one small insular mass. Gabby’s demeanor, however, bespoke a happy dog who didn’t seem to have a care in the world. One would have thought she’d known us forever. She instantly clamored for our affection and bestowed upon us her own in the form of loving kisses. The two masses were completely removed, and Gabby is now recovering and doing quite well. Unfortunately, the biopsy results indicated that the masses were cancerous. Currently Gabby is free of any other masses, but there is a strong possibility that the cancer will metasticize. When? We don’t know. How quickly? We don’t know. In the meantime, we are looking for someone who will give Gabby a life befitting a queen...because that is what she deserves. At 15 pounds, Gabby is spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccines. Her recuperation with us has been filled with love and care from our wonderful volunteers, but we would love for Gabby to find her forever family so that she can relax and heal in the arms of those with whom she will spend the rest of her life. Might that be you?

Marty
2 years old, White, Maltese, Part of a bonded pair with Jayda. Marty isn't a great deal larger than a chipmunk at a very thin 7 pounds but he is a lot friendlier than any chipmunk we have ever met. He is a youngster, about 3 years old and is very befuddled by his experience in the shelter. His shaggy coat was poorly shaved, but now he looks quite handsome. Marty is neutered, micro chipped, and current on his vaccines. Marty and Jayda must be adopted together.

Jayda
2 1/2 years White Beagle mix Part of a bonded pair with Marty. Having spent her whole life on a patio with her mom and three siblings, Jayda is discovering there is an entire world waiting for her to explore. At 16 pounds, Jayda is a bit shy; but look into her soulful eyes, and you won't be able to miss her sweet, gentle spirit and all the love she just can't wait to shower upon her new furever family. She hopes to share her furever family with another dog. Jayda is spayed, microchipped, and current on all vaccines. Jayda and Marty must be adopted together.

Allie-(FOR WOMEN ONLY)
6 years old, 28 pounds. Cockapoo. Allie is back with Perfect Pet after three years in a home. Sadly, her owner is moving and is unable to take Allie with her. Allie likes children and other dogs; but with people, she has a definite preference for women. She has been well loved and is very well trained. She is house trained, walks well on a leash, and likes riding in cars. She bonds very quickly to one person and will be your faithful companion. Allie is spayed, micro chipped, current on her shots, and looking for a quiet home with a woman whom she will love unconditionally.
