10 months Black and Tan Australian Shepherd mix Our Super Dog champion is Chief, a young and vibrant Australian Shepherd mix, with an amazing career ahead of him as some lucky family’s loyal companion. Quite a handsome fellow, Chief is still somewhat overwhelmed by his championship win. As his biggest fans, however, we have assured him he will soon bask in the glow of life as a Super Dog champ, and his youth promises him many more years of victories. All he’ll need is love, proper care, lots of snuggling, and some training. Maybe even an agility class or two or three... Chief is neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccines. More importantly, it’s a first down, and he’s headed towards the goal line. Will you be the lucky person who will celebrate this win, and many more, with him for the rest of his life?
3 years Black, gray, white Chihuahua Until yesterday, little Stormie lived a serene life with her brother and the people she loved. Then, without warning, a storm struck, and this almost 8-pound girl found herself adrift and alone. Happily, we scooped her up, promising her a turbulent-free life from now on. In spite of her ordeal, Stormie is amazingly relaxed. She’s a friendly little gal who hopes she’ll soon find her truly forever home. ...and in that home, she’ll be content to curl up in the closest empty lap. Stormie is spayed, microchipped, and current on her vaccines. So, what are you waiting for? The storm has passed, and Stormie can’t wait to share her new-found tranquility with you!
3 years Red and white Puggle When you’re cute, you’re cute, and our little Lizzie is absolutely the most adorable Pugle we’ve ever seen. From her soulful eyes to her lovely red and white coat to her petite 11-pound body, she is a pup who can easily accompany her person anywhere. Although she’s still a bit shy, she’ll soon happily become a faithful companion whether on an exciting outdoor adventure or reposing on a comfy couch afterwards. Lizzie is spayed, microchipped, and current on her vaccines. She has a small cherry eye which we’ll have repaired at a later date. Even with the cherry eye, she is still the cutest and will attract attention wherever she goes. She requests, however, that she be slowly introduced to the world at large since she is still learning it is a safe place. So, who’s ready to start exploring a whole new world with Lizzie?

He will be your devoted companion and will happily accompany you everywhere or just snuggle close while you read or watch TV. Whatever will make you happy...he’ll be there. At 15 pounds, Meyers is neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccines. So, if you are ready for a fun-loving companion who will bring you laughter both day and night, Meyers is the pup for you!
3 to 4 years White Maltese/Shih Tzu Most would agree that Jimmy Kimmel is a late-night icon. With this year’s awards season upon us, however, he’s not just seen in the dark of night. He is on billboards, magazine covers....everywhere. So what better moniker to give our little Shih Tzu mix with the big personality than Kimmel! This 11-pound boy is beyond sweet. Not at all shy, he does not hesitate to crawl into and make himself comfortable in any available lap. Oh, and he gives kisses, too! Kimmel is neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccines. Newly featured on our website and others, Kimmel is surely destined to become an icon in some lucky forever family’s home. Might that be yours?
1 year Tan Terrier When we first looked into Escrow’s eyes, we saw abject fear. All he wanted to do was get as far away as possible from people. Finding no escape route, he did the only thing he knew to do. When approached, he growled, showed his teeth, and tried to bite......all while trying to fade into the kennel wall. Fear...it’s a terrible thing and can cause even the mildest mannered dog to react aggressively. Fear-based reactions, however, often deceive us by masking a scared pup’s true disposition. This was Escrow’s reality while he waited in the shelter for someone to save him. He was labeled ‘aggressive’ rather than ‘fearful’ and treated accordingly. Now that he is part of the Perfect Pet Rescue family, we have begun the sometimes slow process of teaching him that there are lots of people who will love him until he learns to love them back. Escrow is neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccines. He weighs a mere 11 pounds, which makes us wonder how he managed to survive fear’s heavy burden. But survive he did, and thrive he will. Won’t you be the one who will love Escrow out of fear into happily ever after?
4 years Tan Terrific Terrier Those who run in culinary circles know that curry is not a single spice or dish. In fact, curry dishes and products are as diverse as their countries of origin. So, if some diversity is what you are seeking, come check out our TERRIFIC Terrier, Curry. He is Diversity 101. We haven’t even an inkling of what breeds make up this fun-loving guy. We do know, however, that he is courageous and resilient and on his way to a life better than he’s ever known. ...and we mustn’t overlook his stupendously whimsically comical ears which will never fail to make you laugh! ...and happiness for this sweet boy is long overdue. Dumped in a shelter by his family because they no longer wanted him, Curry felt alone and scared. From the minute we picked him up, however, his fear disappeared, his tail started wagging, and it hasn’t stopped yet! Curry weighs 17 pounds and is neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccines. So, if a TRULY TERRIFIC TERRIER is what you want, Curry’s the dog for you!
8 years old, Buff and White, Cocker Spaniel, Just over three years ago, eight-year-old Lola went to what she thought was her new loving forever home. Her coat was gorgeous. She was happy and healthy and dreaming of life with her new family. Tragically, though, Lola’s dream wasn’t to be. Oh, Lola moved in with this family, all right, their promise of a wonderful life filling her heart with joy. That joy, however, soon gave way to sorrow as she realized their promises were as empty as her heart now was. ...and so began Lola’s three-year nightmare. Her beautiful coat began to thin until she was eventually almost completely bald. She developed a yeast infection which inflamed her skin and caused painful crusty patches where her fur should have been. She had perpetual untreated ear infections. Her nails were never trimmed and so become imbedded in her paw pads. She became morbidly ]obese, gaining over 25 pounds. She had untreated painful dry eye. She had developed severe arthritis in her left hip and back right knee. When the couple who had adopted her returned her a few weeks ago, we could not believe the deplorable condition into which they had allowed Lola’s health to deteriorate. All they had said when they originally called to return her was that she had some skin issues. What we saw when she exited their car was the result of three years of criminal neglect. What’s more, they said they had regularly taken her to the vet. We ask you, though, would your vet have ignored such criminal neglect unfolding before their eyes? Would your vet have not seen the nails imbedded a half inch or more in her raw swollen paw pads? No? We thought not. So, on the day Lola came home to PPR, we promised to do everything in our power to restore this beautiful girl’s health. We began with blood work, and what do you think we discovered? Well, a simple blood test done when Lola’s hair loss first began would have prevented her last three years of pain and suffering. She has hypothyroidism which we are now treating. Even in just a couple of weeks, Lola has shown improvement. The road ahead, however, is a long one. We do not know how much of her fur will regrow. She will always have arthritis, but weight loss and proper diet will significantly lessen its impact. Speaking of weight loss, Lola weighed in at 46.8 pounds recently, down from a high of 60 pounds earlier this year! What’s more, this special girl has retained her love of life and of people. In fact, we don’t think she’s ever met a stranger. Her sweet nature shines in her eyes. She loves tummy rubs, rolling around on soft blankets, walks, and cuddling. She is spayed, microchipped, and current on her vaccines. So who is ready, willing, and able to give beautiful Lola the life about which she has always dreamed?
