18 months Red and white Terripoo You’ll not find our young Jack climbing a beanstalk or sitting in a corner eating a Christmas pie. No, he’s here with us, hanging out with his rescue pals. Hailing from Hesperia, Jack would have been euthanized were it not for a lovely woman who saved him and brought him to us. Given what he was facing, it is no wonder that this handsome guy is quite frightened; but not to worry, for he is now receiving the tender loving care every pup deserves and will soon feel safe and secure. In fact, he’s already enjoying being held. Jack weighs 14 pounds and is neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccines, and ready to begin his new life with you!
2 to 3 years Tan Terrier A hero often appears when least expected. Our handsome Sully may not have saved 155 people by expertly landing an engineless jet on the Hudson; but, to us, this sweet boy is a hero nonetheless. Sully was hit by a car and lived to tell the story. With a slightly dislocated sacro-iliac, some bruising, and multiple abrasions, our boy is now on the mend and will soon be running and playing with his fellow perfect pups. Expert medical care will heal his physical wounds. Patience, love, and tenderness are already healing the wounds we cannot see but know are there. Sully, who initially cringed with fear when touched, is happily greeting us and cuddling close. The distrust in his eyes has faded because he’s learned there are good people in his life. Now, he needs a hero who will do all they can to give this sweet pup a life in which he will continue to flourish. Sully weighs 20 pounds and is neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccines. So, whose ready to be this boy’s hero?
3 to 4 years White Terrier “Remember tonight... for it is the beginning of always,” said the famous Italian poet, Dante Alighieri; and, although he uttered these words during the Late Middle Ages, they still ring true for out sweet boy, Dante. Today...is the beginning of his always. His coat is as white, and his heart is as pure, as new fallen snow. There is an innocence about Dante that reminds us of our own vulnerabilities and compels us to scoop him up and cradle him in our arms, reassuring him that HIS always has, in deed, begun. ...and it will be filled with the most wonderful things.....long walks, snuggly cuddles, a healthy diet, proper care, and above all else...the tender love of a forever family. Still a little shy, Dante is working on building his confidence and is looking forward to exploring his new world. He weighs a mere 10 pounds and is neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccines. So who’s ready to fill Dante’s always with all the wonderful things he so very much deserves?
8 years White and tan Shih Tzu mix With a coat as soft as the finest linen, this lovely lady comes to us with some obvious scars of a life of neglect. Linen has a skin infection, dry eyes, and an ear infection. All are improving, but it is no wonder that she has not been very happy of late. With love, affection, and proper care, however, she will continue to heal, and we have no doubt she’ll soon be smiling and playing with her pals here at Perfect Pet Rescue. We have promised her that she will go home with a forever family and live the pampered life a true lady should live, a life that until now she has only known in her dreams. Linen’s one request, though, is that it be an adult-only household as she prefers a quiet, calm, and relaxing environment. At 18 pounds, she is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. Now, all she needs is someone to make her dream come true. Might that be you?
4 years Tan and white Terrier Audi has given the auto industry a makeover with the advent of its self-driving cars and brain computer interface. Imagine driving your car using only your thoughts! Well, our sweet Audi may not be a state-of-the-art wonder, but he’s a wonder nonetheless. In the middle of his own extreme makeover...canine edition..., he is recovering from a flea-induced skin infection and being severely malnourished. This handsome lad’s skin is now healing, and he weighs a healthy 12 pounds....12 pounds of love and kisses and tail-wagging wiggles. Honestly, he transformed before our eyes. He was initially frightened and wanted to hide. Within minutes, however, his tail was wagging; he was giving kisses; and he could not get enough belly rubs. Resiliently wonderful and wonderfully cute. That’s Audi. He is neutered, microchipped, current on his vaccines, and excitedly waiting to fill your home with wonderful puppy love!
18 months Gray and black Schnauzer/Poodle mix Handsome Cash was in the shelter four days before anyone noticed he was blind. By then, he was so frightened by the unfamiliar noises, smells, and people that he protected himself in the only way he knew. He became virtually unapproachable. Fast forward, though, to day five when a lovely volunteer, with the help of hot dogs, saw through his fear and brought him to us. A couple of weeks and many hot dogs later, this young lad has settled in quite nicely. Instead of hot dogs, he hungers for tummy rubs, giving lots of love in return. At a glance, you probably won’t notice Cash is blind. He seems to look people directly in their eyes. Interact with him, though, and his life of darkness becomes apparent. We took Cash to our ophthalmologist who said he has a retinal degenerative disease. Cash, though, is one smart and resilient pup. Love, patience, and understanding will help this sweet fellow find his way in the world. He just needs someone to walk his path with him. Cash weighs 14.5 pounds and is neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccines. So, put on your walking shoes and come meet Cash on his path to happily-ever-after.
5 years Reddish blonde Terrific Terrier Complicated and once misunderstood, James Joyce’s Finnegans Wake has become one of those rare books that make people laugh on almost every page. Well, our Finnegan is not at all complicated, but he makes us laugh every day. Playful and loving, this sweet boy is quite simply a bundle of joy disguised as a dog. Being with people is his favorite pastime, but he also enjoys the company of other dogs and playing with toys. Finnegan’s perfect leash manners and easygoing personality make him a wonderful walking buddy and life companion. He is one of the politest pups we’ve met and will bring whoever adopts him never-ending happiness. At 15 pounds, Finnegan is neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccines, and ready to fill your life with lots of love and laughter!
3 to 4 years White and brown Terrific Terrier Emmi may weigh a mere 6.5 pounds, but she’s got the heart and soul of a much larger dog. Confident and bold, this little waif knows what she wants and does not hesitate to let you know. She enjoys long walks, curiously sniffing along the way. Emmi acquiesces to being held, but she prefers to be free to decide where she wants to be. She also prefers a home without children. With her long slender legs and petite frame, Emmi’s not telling us her pedigree. As cute as she is, though, there is really no need for her to. She’ll turn heads wherever she goes. Please be aware, however, that she is not one for socializing with other people. She is a one-person dog; and even at that, you’ll need to earn her trust. She is spayed, microchipped, current on all vaccines, and ready to begin life as the center of your world!
18 months White Maltese mix "Toot, toot, Tootsie, good-bye! Toot, toot, Tootsie, don't cry." These lyrics ran through our heads as Tootsie's owner returned her to us after just 18 months. The only difference...she'll never see her owner again. As sweet and loving as she can be, Tootsie is adjusting again to life with us. She is a kind and happy little girl who will be content walking by your side or snuggling up close. As long as she is with you, she will gladly go anywhere! Tootsie weighs 12 pounds and is spayed, microchipped, and current on her vaccines. So, come on now, let's hear it..."Toot, Toot, Tootsie, hello! Toot, Toot, Tootsie, let's go....home."
we always have a variety of small dogs looking for a home!
